No Reason to Run

He hears the banging on the door
Bang bang bang, the thumps come to roar

Steps up to open it only to see
That it's him again with a face that could only be described as a grizzly
Charged in with full might
He tries to shut him out - he wouldn't come down without a fight

The lights break down
The temper is over a frown
The keys are locked in
Anger is the enemy that has set in

Running
Running
Up the staircase

Up to where
He thought
That freedom lays

Close the door
Behind me
I lock it in
He won't catch me

A mighty kick
A door slams down
Wallop goes the baseball bat
That's in his hands

Stop

He wouldn't listen

Stop

The drunken 'pedestrian'

Stop

His bod lifeless - dead

Birds and trees
Are all I ever hear
Now

The pain has gone
The setting of the Sun
No reason to run, no reason to be afraid - now
